How To Make Dollar Store Hair Flowers

May 8, 2020 by Wifeeclectic 5 Comments

When my daughters were young, I was always looking for cute new ways to make clips for their headbands. These Dollar Store Hair Flowers are so easy to make and cost just over $1 a piece. The perfect price for making one in every color.

You will need:

    • A bouquet of dollar store flowers
    • E-6000 glue or hot glue
    • buttons or rhinestones
    • alligator clips

Step 1: Take your dollar stores flowers and separate them from the stems and pull them apart.

Step 2: Mix and Match flowers and colors until you find a good combination. The clips in my photos are 2-3 blossoms combined together to make them particularly full.

Step 3:  When you found a combination that you like take the individual layers and glue them together separately.

Step 4:  Glue a rhinestone or button in the center of your flower.

Step 5: Add an alligator clip to the back of the flower. If you want, you can cover the alligator clip with hot glue before you add it to your flower. When my daughters were very young and had very fine hair, I would add a small piece of no-slip shelf liner on the inside of the clip to make it a no-slip clip.
