Strawberry and Limeade all in Julius form. This drink is very similar to the original Orange Julius with some modifications to fit with the lime flavor.

Strawberry Limeade Julius

I love Limeades. I have been obsessed with them since I was a kid. Why would you order a lemonade if you could have a limeade? I have made limeades in just about every form, but this is one of my favorites. Limeades and strawberries all in Julius form. Is there anything better drink? Not in my opinion!
This drink is very similar to the original Orange Julius with some modifications to fit with the lime flavor.

You will need:

  • 1 container frozen limeade concentrate
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1⁄4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8-12 ice cubes
  • 4-5 strawberries, washed and halved
  • strawberries and limes for garnishing
Add all of the ingredients to your blender except the ice and the garnishes. Blend until smooth. Add the ice and few at a time and blend between each one. Serve in a glass with strawberry and lime garnishes.
Most Orange Julius recipes call for about a cup of water, but in my experience the limeade concentrate is never completely frozen, so I do without. If you find that it is too sweet for your tastes, add anywhere from a half a cup to a full cup of water to dilute it a little bit. I tend to like more lime taste than strawberry taste in my drink, but you can add as many strawberries as you want if you want more of a berry taste. Serve immediately.

We love to make this drink and other versions of smoothies and Julius drinks all summer long. I have had my eye on a Blendtec blender for years and one day I hope to own one to try out all of the recipes I have been keeping track of, smoothies, soups, baby food and WAY more. Blendtecs have blades that are 80%  thicker and 10 times stronger than other blenders. What does that mean? That the blades aren’t sharpened, they are blunt and safe to clean. I have seen these blenders blend just about anything and they come with a 8 year warranty!

This looks amazing! We love making fruit smoothies (one of the only healthy things my kids will eat), and it is quite a chore to try and get them smooth in our old crappy blender.
